Welcome to the CMO Nation, a site built for you to present cutting-edge thought leadership for marketing executives, by marketing executives. My name is Sanjay Dholakia, and I have the privilege of serving as Marketo’s CMO. I also have the great privilege of getting to talk regularly to smart marketers and CMOs around the world at the over 4,000 organizations that are in the Marketing Nation. Those conversations inspired an idea.
At Marketo, we recognize that the marketing industry is shifting, and the best way to stay abreast of that shift is to learn from the people at the very heart of the change: today’s marketing executives. That notion gave rise to the CMO Nation. Here you’ll find insights that fall into three distinct categories that are top-of-mind for CMOs today: the Marketing Organization of the Future, Engagement Marketing and Marketing Technologies.
As such, CMO Nation is a destination for the leaders of today and tomorrow to hear about the latest trends and engage in a thoughtful dialogue about what’s next. A portion of this dialogue will come from Marketo executives, but we’ll also be featuring industry thought leaders, the voices of our partners and customers, and content from exciting collaborations we’re doing with the likes of Mashable and the Harvard Business Review.
Starting next week, we’ll begin posting the second round of the “Ask the CMO” Q&A series from Marketo and Mashable. Notable executives from some of the world’s biggest and most innovative companies sat down to talk about the marketing trends they’re seeing in their respective industries and their personal “Lessons Learned.” As a fellow CMO, I find it fascinating to hear about how my peers’ early careers and even hobbies shaped how they approach their jobs today.
Coming next month, we’ll also be debuting a new whitepaper from Harvard Business Review Analytic Services sponsored by Marketo on the marketing organization of the future. This topic is a huge focus among the marketing executives I speak with on a regular basis.
